We at UPS have no requirement to do either open time or JA. We are not other unions and we have , in the past, determined that we don't want to work overtime.
Our contract stipulates that an official open time band can only be called when we have pilots laid off. The lines are so jumbled that picking up open time is often not doable and to JA you they have to drop a pairing if you accept it.
