And your 2 cents, obviously inflation must have take over because if you think UAL needs a "manager," then you haven't been around too long either. The characteristics you speak of are those of effective LEADERS. Management is a subset of skills to those that can lead people/organizations.

It tells me the same thing about you as it does about him. I've been here 20 years BTW, so I probably have a bit more wisdom about UAL culture than yourself. However, I agree that I should have said leader rather than manager.
