Fighter pilots getting under 150/yr unless deployed currently. 800 hrs in a year didn't even happen in the 80s. A very ambitious FAIP triple-turning daily and going XC 2x/month might be able to break 800.

A strong 20-year career for a pointy-nose jock is about 3k hours, take out 3 years for staff/ALO and that's still under 200hrs/yr. though most of those hours are earned with bars on your shoulder.

I had 100hrs of bug smasher time in the past 12 months when I showed up to OSC and did just fine. They need to look elsewhere for the cause of their problems.
