I'm sure you won't though because you already heard it was really really bad on a forum.
Absolutely no way going to PSA would negatively affect him at a major. Guys have left from PSA to go to pretty much every major.
As far as the starting pay. Guys are holding lines right out of training at PSA. Holding a line means SAP and critical pay. First year guys here are going to do very well compared to pretty much every other carrier first year.
I wouldn't advise my worst enemy to go to Envoy right now, if they needed to stay long enough to upgrade. This guy needs a year at best and has his sights set on a major. But yeah, Compass would be a much better pick I agree.
Okay it is all relative. First year guys RIGHT NOW, are holding a line. I have seen plenty of big hiring waves over my years at a regional. They like to say how great it is RIGHT NOW, when you would only enjoy it if you were there RIGHT NOW. A guy hired in September will be on reserve a little longer.
How many of your pilots are on reserve? The going rate with 117 is pushing into 20% right? It's a nice round number let's use that: So numero 900 is 180 pilots away from getting off reserve. Using the estimate of 100 pilots attrition per year - Well 1.8 years of reserve! But hey, first year pilots RIGHT NOW are getting lines right off the bat! Haha <----That is the sad laugh numero 900 will have once he realizes he has been duped.
I have actually read your contract, and quite a few others. It is light reading for someone in my position. Don't blow farts. It is no where near industry leading. And of course, your pay, to fly large RJs, is, well, sad.
