It's not all about making money. There is the whole safety and security aspect of pilot unions that you guys ride the coat tails. But just imagine what other QOL improvements you could negotiate if only you could truly negotiate. That would not only help yourselves but also the rest of the industry. As it is now, you only get get enough to keep you in the average, never setting any bar on any part of your contract. I'm not necessarily talking about every single section of the contract being the best because that never happens. But if you could get a few really nice things in, it helps others.
