I flew with a captain at another airline and he had a sunshade that was the static cling on type. It wasn't a walgreens, walmart product it was cut for the CRJ windows and I found it once at an pilot store online for about $16. But winter came and I didn't order it and now I can not find it anywhere.

I flew with a guy who had one for the ERJ. He said he just measured the window and had it specially cut from a piece of black or tinted vinyl that clings to glass. Might accomplish the same thing you are looking for. Personally, the whole process of unsticking it from itself and then lining it up on the window seemed like a hassle to me vs. the wire-and-fabric/twist-to-fold types you can get at Target or Wally World or any auto store. Plus you get two at a time for like $20 so when you invariably leave yours in an airplane, you already have a spare at home!
