I was based CVG, typically flew in 1-day prior to all patterns and got home on the last day of my pattern. I am now at JFK, very junior, and typically travel on patterned work days, NOT X days (scheduled days off). Schedules change a lot. So YMMV. I personally intend to avoid ANC if at all possible.
