WW.. I take it you're a DAL Pilot and asking due to your TA?
If I'm mistaken, sorry~
So here's the deal.
On the 757-200 (LCAL), we get seat 4A which is a lie flat. No curtain and usually someone is sitting in 4B. Company is allowed to sell the seat as full fare or upgrade! (Thanks ALPA for losing the Black & White contract language~)
5-J-1-h For 757-200 aircraft equipped with lie-flat seats, one (1) premium lie-flat window
seat. The adjacent aisle seat shall be the last seat assigned on the aircraft.
Anyhooters.. it's considered a Class 3 Rest Seat.
Yes, we fly 3 man augmented trips with it. Longest being some of the Germany trips and BCN.
On the 767-400 (LCAL), we get seat 7D with a curtain. It is considered a Class 2 Rest Seat.
The curtain is put up by the first pilot on rest, and put down/away by the last pilot. Not too painful and it actually makes it dark and quieter. Only problem is, during service there's alot of movement and noise going around outside of the rest area. (both lavs are back there plus the mid galley).
Recently, we've had alot of LUAL pilots come over to the 756 BES (Base/Equipment/Seat) via a program that the union and company came up with [BAT]. I bring this up because I was able to snag a 767-4 HNL trip the other day. Had two LUAL guys doing IOE. Because of this, we also got seat 1D as a rest seat. This meant that we were a Class 3 Rest Seat. Limited our duty day.
Not sure what is happening on the LUAL 767-300's. Hopefully one of them can answer.
Hope this helps and would love to see what the DAL TA2014 is all about.
Always
