As long as you aren't bound by any sort of contractual seat lock you can bid for anything. Getting it depends upon your seniority vs the others bidding for the same thing and whether there are openings available for what you're bidding. In other words, you can't bump anyone out of a position (unless your current base or airplane is being done away with) but if there's a slot open it's up for grabs.
