Issue was raised many times. NOBDY really seemed to notice it's implications, nor really care till pointed out to them. Then it's like "oh, yeah. I guess that does kinda suck, oh well........"
ESPECIALLY when the hiring was a little more fast paced. Pilot A, hired in one month, on the 767. Pilot B, hired the next month on the 744. For years 2 and 3, pilot B out earns pilot A, and Pilot A can do NOTHING ABOUT IT.
Probably just another typical case of airline pilot senioritis. "I'm senior, won't affect me, so whatever", etc.
