Buddy of mine was married to another pilot. Before kids, they could bid the same schedules and have plenty of time off together. Once a kid came along, they had to bid opposite schedules so one could take care of the child. They would only see each other maybe one day of the week. Now they are divorced and still bid opposite schedules to share custody.
