I think DTW 717 would be your best bet. It's going to grow fast & you'll hold a line within months. Hotels are $40 out the door vs $150 in NYC. But the biggest reason is a future 717 base in LA. Big things are happening on the West coast & the 717 will be a part of it. There is no freeze on a base transfer, you'll be able to slide into LA as soon as they open it, might even be a line holder! I've been here 8 years and would still be on Rsv on the 737 in LA. Don't chase the bigger metal, bid what will give you a line in base ASAP. 1 Greenslip a year will make up the difference in pay between a 717 & 737. Best of luck! Welcome aboard!
