I would be careful on thinking the 717 is coming to LA soon unless you have some inside info. Publicly the company is not planning a west coast base and they have put out on multiple occasions that the next base will be NYC. With the gate limits there I see them focusing on larger aircraft there.
Agreed. Maybe eventually, but I very much doubt within the next year. I'd also say to be honest, the odds are much closer to zero than they are to it being green lighted.
One point to consider, if they did put it in LAX (or anywhere new) no one in the company is under a freeze to bid it as that is a new category. If you were under a freeze, its waived if you bid for a new category.
