Flying heavies is not as different, the main thing is you're just responsible to do a lot more then just fly from Point A to B. And like Slice was hinting at, there's a bunch of ground training and duties (i.e. "Death by Powerpoint"). If you don't like the Aircraft Commander you just flew with, get used to him because you'll fly with the same people a lot (Helps you work on CRM though, you'll be able to fly with anybody). In the reserves you'll also find yourself watching Airline pilots like a hawk...they always forget they're not flying the 737 and forget to add power after a descent (No Auto-Throttles in the 135)...same thing for flying with a DV (Colonel or above), those guys fly once a month and rely on the 24 year-old in the right seat to keep them safe (SIR, would you like the gear down?).

On the really cushy side, you'll get into Honolulu a lot with every cheap hotel sold-out and get to stay at Turtle Bay on Uncle Sam's dime.
