His "regional" had it's own code and marketing before being bought and stripped of those assets by Delta. He flies real airplanes with real passengers and is a real pilot. He has a real job and belongs to a real profession.
It does us no good to threat express flying like it is not real. It is at least 40% of US domestic flying, it is profitable, it requires the same professionalism, training and skill as any other flying performed at any other carrier.
If guys like Tony decide to come to a major, I welcome them. But, we need to realize their flying for an express carrier is a mere distinction, not a real difference.
