The United ERJ CPA is a money loser, even SkyWest Airlines would lose money on it. Which is why they are going to do one of three things: wind down the XJT ERJ side as much as UAL will allow, Get UAL to redo the CPA for more money, or bankrupt the XJT side and get their concessions in Ch 11.
