Thanks for the suggestions...my main goal is to get hired after my interview...THEN to hold a line out of LAX (sooner or later), regardless of type/size. Being gone commuting and doing the crash pad thing is something I am trying to avoid, while staying in SOCAL (for family reasons). I understand that it's a bit of my having my cake and eating it too....but I'm just stating my goal!

Your suggestion would probably be the easiest route (because of no future training) but everyone should realize if a 717 category is opened in either LAX or SEA, any one can bid it on the opening bid because all freezes are off for a new or re-established category.
