I looked this up a did a little light reading. As I am not a lawyer or business savy, I don't really fully understand. What it seems to me though is that the holding company that owned Mesaba didn't go bankrupt, just the Mesaba portion. However, in INCs case, wouldn't declaring ExpressJet bankrupt expose too much? I would have to think that Skywest Airlines would also be considered bankrupt. Maybe not Inc its self, but if all of our money, buisness decisions, aircraft etc come from Skywest Inc and ExpressJet has no real money or does not make business deals of its own, how can it be declared bankrupt without taking too much risk to Inc or Skywest airlines? Can you elaborate?
