But I also find it kinda funny how they ended their public statement. They talked about the APA representing the pilots of AA and then said: "American Airlines is the world's largest passenger airline."

That statement couldn't be true without the merger with US Airways. They sure liked to talk about what they feel is right. And I'm sure we all agree. But they sure jumped on the bandwagon of being the largest airline once again without giving credit to how that happened... Just sayin...
It IS the worlds largest passenger airline and is well into the process of completion. I don't see anything unusual about that claim as it is factual. Exactly what "credit" were they supposed to include in that press release ?
