This is a good point, especially if you end up on the Q400. Great aircraft
when it works, but it is in general unreliable
I can't believe the union would allow the practice of no cancelation pay. It encourages pilots to fly broken aircraft and causes friction in the cockpit. One pilot may want to write up a discrepancy where the other guy will argue against it in fear of the flight canceling, then only being able to afford the cheap noodles!
For that reason alone I would forget Republic and GoJet.
