Any continental pilots here been based in Guam? It looks like an interesting place to be based out of for a little bit. Flying 737's around the south pacific seems like alot of fun. Any continetal pilots whats your take on it? Is it a senior base?
lots of replies about guam but i'll sum-up mine: run away as fast as you can. guam is a pit and the guys out there are a bit strange. it's a junior base and virtually impossible to commute to/from. everything you are used to is substandard in a big way. power failures are a way of life as are pot-holed roads, indifferent service, canned food as a mainstay, poor educational and medical facilities, and very high prices for everything. on the plus side, it's a good place to jump off for non-reving throughout asia.
