In the future they may have to change to a technical interview if recency is a concern? That seems to be the issue with a lot of us. The "hire the person we know you can fly" doesn't fit if a candidate adequately completed the TMAAT format and is then eliminated four months later based on recency issues.
I doubt they are going to change the interview process that has worked well for them over the years. It's HR guys, it's never an exact science. I really think this was just an overreaction by HR.
We had some guys fail and with the sims going 24/7 there is no slack built in for this. It may have been the easy way out but it is what it is.
I am sorry that many people had to wait so long for a tbnt email of all things, they should have made a phone call.
