Lets assume you meet all the qualifications Jetblue wants to hire someone who buys into the teamwork aspect of the airline, their culture. Those employed by Jetblue for sometime understand what "culture" truly means but I do appreciate how the people department still puts emphasis on hiring people who are friendly and helpful. You are not throwing bags, stocking the aircraft or cleaning the cabin(you better not) but the pilots we do hire try to help out. For the 91 guys you will learn quick how much an FA or gate agent appreciate a friendly hello or a Starbucks coffee on a quick turn. These are the little things that make a difference when you have 5 or 6 crew members trying to all get along. Are there times you have to put your foot down as a captain, sure, but its often easier to set a good tone early.
No disrespect to Mil guys/gals but most haven't dealt with this so its a bit of a learning curve at the beginning. Similarly most are sharp and grasp the concept quick. The doing a little more concept comes a bit more naturally to a 91 guy.
This is essentially what they are trying to get out of you during the interview.
