I'm not sure that was 100% fair. All the poster said was that they were willing to pay for a hotel or equivalent. Guess what though, 100% of everyone hired at DL in a very long time have also been willing to do so. But so what. DL pilots have negotiated some of the best new hire pay around, a reduced probation system after OE and the end of probation after 400 hours if that happens prior to a year, which it quite often does and the company pays the first 2 weeks as a courtesy as well. Positive space home on 2+ day breaks is an incredibly nice perk too.

We have more work to do WRT the profession in general and our particular pay/contract as well. But its completely irrelevant to think DL shouldn't be able to fill classes because new hires refuse the job because of the hotel issue. And it certainly doesn't make anyone a patsy for taking the job. Yeah, no thanks on the offer, I'm holding out for a few hundred extra in front end benefits and until I get it I'm passing on the 4-5M dollar career. Yeah right.

FWIW I'd like to see the company voluntarily pay for full footprint hotels, and if not then I'd like to see it in the next contract.
