It's hard enough working towards unity without having an FA slandering one side while ridiculing the other. They've got their own axes to grind, from griping about serving our crew meals ("I hope you can get it in your contract too" I said pleasantly) to being miles away from a contract ("yes, that's got to be difficult" I said sympathetically followed by "we'll take our meal after the initial cruise PA, thanks so much.").
