I really hope young pilots do their own due diligence on the subject. You like to come on here and talk in absolutes. If this happens then you automatically move up to Delta. Sorry my friend but history is not on your side. At one point in time it was in our mainline contract that 25% of all new hires would come from our wholly owned airlines Comair and ASA. ASA was sold to Skywest and Comair went the way of the dinosaur and they didn't automatically move up to Delta when it happened.
How do you do your own due diligence as a new hire? Short of paying a lawyer, I don't see any way of getting a definitive answer. There really is no due diligence, as your post points out all you can do is assume the deal is hogwash.
