Flica will allow you to trade vertically on red days for more credit, not less. For example, if you are dropping a 3 day worth 10hrs and picking up a 3 day worth 15hrs on the same days, it will do it. If you are dropping 10:00hrs and picking up 9:59 it will not.
And someone pointed out that a red eye is considered 2 days but only one pilot duty day, yes this is a flaw we need to get fixed.
This isn't exactly the case. Flica is programmed to only reference the reserve grid when dropping one day for another. A swap transaction over the same days in the same base will always be approved.
