Yeah, maybe you're right. Biggest downturn in the global economy in 50 years timed with numerous other events causing a decrease in the need for pilots was a big conspiracy. Forget the fact that we had 175 DC-8 guys sitting at home making full pay for 18 months awaiting training. HOW DARE THOSE BOXHEADS FURLOUGH GUYS THEY WERENT USING ANYWAY.
Thanks to the IPA we only furloughed 109. We were lucky to have leverage as a union due to all the junior guys being in ANC. It nearly was much, much, worse.
