I'll stand by what I wrote - I didn't say that the only thing F9 was looking for was someone "unhireable". When I used that word, I wasn't meant in a derogatory sense, but I like your "legacy competitive" term better than what I used.

We have hired people with no turbine PIC time (tough to get hired at a legacy without it), and they didn't have any inside connections. That said, they are great guys/girls and capable pilots, which is far more important to me than flight time. When I first found this out about one of them, my reaction was surprise, not any sense of disappointment.
