With regards to hiring, according to an update on the June 25th P2P phone call a volunteer (whom I trust) indicated that the company cancelled the interviews for late June (maybe postponed would be a better term?), due to HR being overwhelmed (which tracks with other info I've seen). Also from the same source, Jeff Carlson told the latest New Hire class in MIA that the company is in "a good spot" and will continue to hire for the foreseeable future.
He also said there are additional business opportunities we can't get right now because we don't have enough crews (and the amount of open time trips we're all seeing seems to validate the lack of crews info).
So, if you are considering applying, or have begun the process, I'd say you stand a good chance of hearing something in the next couple months.

We all know why that is... Now that the seat locks are going away on the 767, each 747 FO that leaves will cost the company two types instead of one. If I were them I'd be hiring constantly to keep up.
I'm guessing that they're expecting to lose so many over the next year that they'll have trouble keeping up.
