That is problem with some guys mentality. They think they are better because they never got caught. I actually know 4 guys that have DWI or DUI on their record that have gotten hired at a Major Airline in the last 5 years ( my cousin was one of them. He actually got his in 95' and then got in the the Navy in 98'. Then got hired at a Major in 2010.) The other 3 work at the Regional I am at right now. The went to US Air, JetBlue, Southwest and United. Now most of these had these DWI or DUIs over 6 years ago, and they will tell you there is more paper work involved and networking to get hired but it is possible. It does not automatically disqualify you or make you a bad employee. It just shows you are human and made a mistake and got caught.
Here's an idea.. Don't drink and drive!!!!!!! Are you guys somehow justifying a DUI? This is the true problem with some guys mentality! Which is also a hazardous attitude. It's ok if you don't get caught right? I wonder what the thousands of people who have had loved ones die by a drunk driver would say about this?!
