Sounds simple right? But probably a good 60%, if not more, of all the patrons of any given restaurant are going to drink and drive on any given night. They aren't all going to get stone drunk, but they are probably going to have a drink. We have to change a lot more about our society before we can just make those "don't drink and drive" catch phrases reality, our society completely enables, especially with our lack of public transportation. It's just the same as many other things. Could be your speeding causes and accident and people die, or maybe your failure to actually stop at a right light/stopsign turn. You think you can handle it, but you get distracted at the key moment or just can't stop because you chose to disregard the rules. People rationalize these risks each and every day, whether it's these or having a drink at a restaurant and then driving home. All sorts of things can "kill". I'm not advocating drinking and driving, but I'd bet 95% of the people taking your attitude are just as guilty as anyone else on this issue.
