What your friend is saying doesn't really make sense. Your dispatcher friend can ask anyone--pilot, friend, neighbor--to write a letter of recommendation. If you write his/her recommendation, you can list your title as a Delta pilot as well as use your
[email protected] email address when submitting. How much weight a letter or rec from a new hire carries, if any different than a senior captain, would be any ones guess.
