I'm sorry but this is really bad advice. The number one core value at Delta Air Lines is honesty. We all make mistakes in life, personally and professionally. What Delta AND other airlines are looking for is honesty in your application and what you say at the interview. If you made a mistake, take responsibility for your mistake. Don't try to hide it.
If there is a record of a violation, DUI, under age drinking, etc. put it on your application. If HR finds out that you did not disclose a violation you can forget about gaining employment.
At interview preps I've had clients tell me that they have been arrested for DUI, BUI, minor in possession of alcohol, petty theft on other offenses. The key to being successful is how you present the scenario to the recruiters.
