Actually, you do need a degree to fly for the top tier airlines. I can offically speak for FedEx. A four year degree is required.

Get a degree in something that you can use it for if the flying gig doesnt work out. If you want to fly for the military, you will need a degree to get commissioned.

The industry has changed so much that you might just need a backup.
