If you do your research you can hit that quick upgrade. Of course it will come to an end at some point but if you can read and have even the smallest bit of insight you can figure out where, and where not, to go.

This past decade has poisoned the mind of the regional pilot into thinking it will be bad no matter what.

Things can change.

This place(APC) is a breeding ground for negativity. Fact is there are plenty of happy regional pilots. Even at the "bad" ones.
I agree that it can change. I was talking to a friend who is there now. He was doing the math and said that he should be on the "tail-end of the quick upgrades" based on growth. Once all the airplanes are on property, it'll most likely go back to 3-5 year upgrades due solely to the quantity of pilots that have already been hired in the past year. I'd say it is a safe bet to assume that if you aren't on property now or on property in the next few months, you will not get the upgrade once you get 1000 SIC.
