Because they don't. Those 350 hour people go to the 747/A330,A340 and they sit with 15,000 hour Capts and learn. They are also the 4 or 5th man in the cockpit. They don't go to the 737 or A320 right out of school.

Mesa is a dump don't compare it to airlines that have actual training departments and not some dump that hires people with no interview.
The interview process that a pilot has go through at LH or KLM would make a Mesa pilot look like a high school drop out.
Don't even try to compare this.
British Airways puts 350 hour pilots straight into the right seat of 737 and A320. 5 man cockpit? Really? Must be a round-the-world flight. Most I've seen is 3, but I could imagine 4 on a very long haul flight.
