Yea who really knows what the formula is. I think if you throw a masters degree or military in the mix then the GPA doesn't seem to have the weight it does with other guys. I have met the VP of flight ops and know the chief pilot and can't get an interview. Yet I know two guys that have identical resumes as me but the only difference is that they have 3.7 GPA or higher. So my point is that all things being equal if you have 6000 plus hours and 4000 TPIC time then the only thing that can separate 100's of guys with these credentials is their GPA.
