You have seen the statistics, but they don't tell the whole story. The average high school drop out on government cheese is making just as much if not more than current college grads. Welfare right now pays the equivalent of a $70K a year job in benefits, and after 4 years of ObamaDon'tCare, it's going to creep into the six figure mark. Voting for a living is the future, and college grads are paying for it all.

Mesabah, I apologize for coming across as arrogant. That said, you post several opinions here as though they are facts. Where do you get your information? According to the Wall Street Journal, the state with the highest dollar value from welfare is Hawaii, with the max being around 49 K per year. The numbers haven't changed much since 1995, by the way.

The facts that I've seen regarding a college degree, which are easy enough to find, show that for a person between the ages of 25-32, a high school grad earns 62 cents for every dollar a college grad earns. The employment rate for a college graduate is also higher. College isn't some sort of cure all, and you can certainly find exceptions, but it does provide more opportunities for people than just a high school diploma.
