Exactly. I can always tell the pilots on the forum who've never had a real job outside aviation... They think everybody is making a fortune laying brick, power washing sidewalks, wrenching on cars, etc. My Dad owned a carpet installation business, and a good friend of mine is a tech for a Toyota dealership. Not easy gigs! I worked as a mechanical engineer for five years, and every CA at my regional makes far more than I ever did, and more than my chemical engineer brother.
