I hate to say it, but there is no shortage of applications, so I doubt anything drastic is going to change. Keep plugging away, there were 3 pure regional guys in my class, they were all at their respective regional gigs for somewhere around 10 years. Patience pays off. Do what you need to get the numbers you need.
