Most handhelds don't go above 10,000 feet. The very latest models get up to 14,000 or so.
MANPADS would be unlikely to drop a widebody anyhow, that's not what they're designed to do.
They're designed as a last-ditch defense for ground troops...basically a TACAIR irritant.
