I was scheduled to take this one out. Mechanic rumors are running rampant but the check airman simply stated they scraped the wing. From his statements, there is a possibility of wind shear (stated winds at the time were 320@6G18) but it didn't feel squirrelly when we landed just before them. Several mechanics that day said it's totaled because the wing cracked in addition to the scraped tip and flaps. From the terminal the damage wasn't obvious and I didn't feel the need to gawk more closely.
