They have "corporate liability" insurance. Most planes that get hit by tugs, Or run into jet bridges ect.., are not covered.. They part them out or eat the cost.
No, I understand. I'm sure they have a very high deductible that won't cover any kind of ground damage. Plus, the guilty party ends up eating those repair costs. But they are definitely still ensured. And I'm not just talking about liability.
