Standing up to something like this is part of being a CFI, you have to sometimes fight for what's right for your student. Either we are missing some critical piece of information, or you were wronged. If the latter is the case, you need to elevate this. What have you got to lose?
A lot actually. Failing the ride again with the same POI. Failing the ride several times with another POI. Failing and trying to go to another fsdo with 3 or 4 busts on his record and screwing up his career.
