Not sure what you're saying here.

First of all DL wouldn't be spending anything to train someone. They would be spending it themselves. We will likely see the sector adopt retention bonuses and training contracts in many forms, including "tuition forgiveness" and "scholarships". My point about flight academies was to mention the lack of action going on at the supply end of things for the regionals. That has to be addressed, regardless of how this all shapes out.

I still don't see your version of a connectionless DL while all the other savvy majors scoop up all the ACMI lift as anything remotely close to reality.
