Nevets,
I've got a couple charts up reflecting total compensation. One is for upgrade after year 1, and after year 5. I'll build other upgrade options later.
I've entered in your company data, and what I could find for other companies (much of which is probably outdated).
You're correct - Expressjet jumped to second place on the chart.
I've added maximum company contributions. Obviously employee contributions come out of your annual income so that is already reflected in the base pay.
Note: This is a cost basis only graph. It doesn't factor any kind of return on the investment vehicles. This in itself creates a problem because any return at all will magnify proportionally the top bar of the chart. For example. Comparing the two top earners... Xjet 900 and Horizon... Xjets "company contributions" bar is nearly double the size of Horizon. Thus, even though Xjet is technically lower, even a modest return will propel it into top earner status.
Question to all: Would it be better if I put in a 6 or 8% return on investment mulitplyer, year over year,? This would probably provide a more accurate TOTAL COMPENSATION comparison.
