I didn't make up what someone told me. And you're right, everyone's got an excuse for not wearing the pin, but it's always a choice not to wear it, not ignorance about it's existence.
I don't have the numbers to support my claims but I can tell you that a majority of the senior guys had been furloughed one time or another and understood the impact on the family without health insurance. This claim just doesn't pass any smell test.
