So let's say you are right and American decides to give Envoy a much larger pot of money, do they give it to all the regionals including the non wholly owned?
No, my argument is that the majors are all VERY profitable. The regional airlines contribute a large portion of those very same profits, since they fly a large percentage of the passengers!
The "money American has made", or a large portion thereof, was enabled by the hub feed provided by their regional feed.
