If you really believe that to be the reason the MEC does not release survey results, call your rep out on it and see what he says.
I'm in contact with my Rep. quite often. He was not the rep during C2012, but prior to my vote, I did call my (then) Rep. and asked him lots of questions. I also called a member of the Negotiating comm and asked him a lot of questions.
I was not happy with most of the answers, but you can't make everyone happy. Turns out I'm in the minority, as are most of us here who expect more from our "Representatives".
I thought we settled much too low, and much too fast, oh, and we gave away some profit sharing as well.

It seems nobody has ever said No to Richard. How do you ever expect to get back what we gave up, if you're not willing to stand up to him? Get on your knees and beg? How's that working so far?
